Vector Design
Much of the distinctive performance of Xactagen cells is due to vector designs that utilize select components, eliminate extraneous genetic material, and “humanize” remaining sequences. The results are vectors that provide distinct advantages for Xactagen reporter cells.
  • Tiny vectors (most from 2.7 to 3.5kb) enable higher promoter / enhancer cloning capacity.
  • Higher transfection efficiency – as much as a tenfold increase over other available reporters
  • High Z-factor
  • Lower background with expression levels that span 7-8 orders of magnitude: Capable of detecting extremely low expression levels and extremely high expression levels characteristic of natural promoters.
  • Reduce tendency to lose vector and expression characteristics over time.
